On Thursday, May 28, the MSPA board had the privilege of gathering with donors who contributed over $10,000 to Holmes Family Park. Time was spent walking through the site to see the elements that their funding brought from vision to reality. Together, we celebrated the five-year process involving environmental testing and remediation, community input, design, and finally construction. Over 18,000 volunteer hours have been dedicated to bringing this park to our community.

Lights are up in the allee
The mural is complete and scheduled for a June 19 installation
Landscaping continues - 145 trees, 28 varieties of native species, with 1.4 acres of green space
Sport court fencing is in progress, and painting is scheduled for late June
Stonework around the gas fire pit is nearly complete

IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO GET INVOLVED!
Main Street Park Alliance’s commitment to the wellness and vitality of our community does not end with construction. Our fundraising efforts continue; 100% of post-construction funds will go to the Chelsea Parks & Pathways Sustainability Fund! The fund will be used for capital repairs and replacements throughout all of Chelsea’s parks to ensure the longevity of these new, beautiful spaces.
